The following screenshots were rendered using the prototype of the painterly renderer and the toonshader. Click on an image for an enlarged version.

To try the presented system, I recommend downloading the application. For those of you who do not possess a nVIDIA GeForce graphics card, a short video is provided which gives an impression of what the renderer is capable of. Keep in mind, however, that the poor framerate of the video is the result of the screen capturing - normally, the 3d objects that are used in the prototype are rendered quite smoothly.
